Position Summary

The IT Project Manager will lead high complexity large scale projects supporting
the IT PMO. This role will work collaboratively with BRMs, IT teams, and business
stakeholders to deliver strategic IT deliverables. The IT Project Manager will drive
projects through the project lifecycle from Initiation to Closure, while ensuring
compliance and alignment with internal policies, governance, security, and
business objectives.

The ideal candidate will combine technical competence with business awareness to translate business requirements into effective IT solutions and ensure successful implementation of projects based upon IT prioritization. This candidate will have demonstrated experience partnering with Core / Extended team members, developing and successfully utilizing project artifacts / trackers, building on past project experiences to reduce the learning curve for future projects, and successfully delivering both technically and organizationally with OCM. As this a
high visibility IT role, a successful candidate will also need to be able to digest and communicate complex information simply, demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, and be comfortable presenting across all levels in the organization.

Accountabilities

Lead Tier 1 IT Projects from Evaluation to Closure, in close collaboration with internal IT Leads for successful delivery
Develop strong and positive relationships with senior business leaders, articulate risks, negotiate tradeoffs, facilitate decision-making, prioritize, and remove cross-team impediments
Manage all technical and functional towers along with third party PM and other Key Stakeholders
Responsible for project’s internal resource planning across internal process and technical teams
Proactively drive alignment across a diverse set of stakeholder groups
Effectively communicate results and status of projects during various stages of their life cycle as well as risks, issues, and action plans
Define metrics and methodologies to monitor project, and provide visibility into resource demand and capacity with the PMO
Responsible for scope control, change control management, facilitating weekly progress team meetings, and building / presenting report-out presentations
Develop and implement testing strategy and test cycles, cutover strategy, and cutover test cycles partnering with internal stakeholders
Assist to gain relevant sign off for the various key deliverables throughout the project, such as global design, training, user acceptance testing, data loads and go-live readiness
Manage cutover plans, post cutover hypercare plans, and execution
Ensure continued evolution of PMO operations through the further support and refinement of project management processes and introducing standard templates and artifacts
Build out and maintain the development of repeatable integration playbooks
Improve project success by evolving and enforcing strong project management common best practices and capabilities, effectively apply methodology and project standards, provide PMO expertise to projects, monitor compliance to standards/methods, and manage risk and issues
Responsible for project’s internal resource planning across internal process and technical teams
Comply with IT controls throughout the organization (e.g. Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, SOX, Risk Management, Corporate Audit, etc.)

Required Skills and Experience

BA, BS Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering
5-10 years of experience in IT and/or platform delivery leadership role, developing and implementing innovative solutions and collaborating with business partners across various functions
Experience in strategic IT project management
Prior experience working with SAP
Ability to set expectations with business partners and effectively leverage governance for a positive business partner experience
Ability to listen and build rapport as a strategic partner within IT and business, with both leadership and functional owners
Exceptional ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods
Ability to positively influence others and to break down organizational silos
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats
Strong leadership and consulting skills, combined with ability to identify, resolve, and escalate risks-- even if unpopular
Self-starter and highly motivated who is equally successful in working in a team environment
Maintain a high level of ownership for assigned projects and see work through to completion based on agreed timelines
Project management skills; financial/budget management, scheduling, and resource management

Preferred Skills and Experience

MS or MBA Business, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering
Prior experience in Consumer Goods sector and understanding of business model and functions including manufacturing & Supply Chain, Finance, and Trade Promotions Planning
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile (Scrum/SAFe) certification
Prior experience working with vendors and procurement
